A bit of dinginess and glamour for my new year's, a theme worth living up to for 2011. Even downtown looked a bit more dressed up than its usual dreariness.

It was unseasonably warm (for the first new year's in Buffalo EVER) and so that gave me all the more reason to go out and celebrate, as did the rest of the city. By the time we parked in the dirtiest parking garage I've encountered, we had to fight through the mob with ten minutes to spare before balldrop. What better way to celebrate than to climb to the top of a seven story, pitch black warehouse wearing four inches to watch the fireworks from 1oo yards away? Which was pretty exhilarating after a few glasses of wine. Serious stomach crampage by the fourth floor, and totally worth it.

I'm hoping that all the events that encompassed this night are just a small glimpse of 2011 and what is to come.
